Hi All,

Could resist the lure of an ad-hoc trip out to Salisbury Plain today to play in the snow..and some (Feeling left out about not getting much snow in Poole Crying or Very sad ) Very Happy  click on this link for photographs... http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/283734826

We started trying out a few lanes in North Dorset/Wiltshire where we found the snow had drifted and several vehicles had got themselves stuck. This includes two blokes with an Isuzu Trooper with a trailer and a chap on a Scrambler to which we help them out of their predicament! Laughing The Isuzu only had road tyres Shocked

Our next section was the area North of Bulford Camp where the lanes go in every direction. The snow made them hard to spot. Not to mention the deep pot holes Confused But oh so much fun. Laughing Our lunch break was a good meal at the Bustard Inn and we noted that the Army had closed all areas north.

After lunch, we headed West to the German Village area, turned left and headed south across the ranges until Yarnbury Fort, across the A303 and onto the by-way heading south towards the A36 stopping for a coffee en route.

Finally we went along the small section through the ford at Stratford Tony and up the by-way to the A354.

And the sunglasses?...

All in all, a very good day.

The current tyre of choice is the 305/70/16 Toyo M/T's which performed very well in the snow. I lowered the tyre pressure to 23psi for today.
