According to service info and manual 5W30, 10W30 or 15W40 for typical UK temps. Manula also says 5W30 is best all round option. API CF-4 or CF. I've use Mobil 1 ESP 5W30 last few changes and am happy with it and the engine seems happy too.

Been using Castrol Edge Diesel 5W30 fully synthetic and it works for me - truck is a lot quieter than on dinosaur-juice.

If anyone has the amount of oil needed for a complete refill, and new filter too, off the top of there head can they let me know, Ill try look it up later myself.

Castrol Edge Diesel 5W30 fully synthetic How much should I expect to pay for 5 liters of this?  Any 5W30 do? or should I go for Castrol?

Toyota Garage quoted me €40 for an oil change and €9 for a filter, as part of the under guarantee injector seals swap. does this sound ok?

7.2L IIRC for change + filter.

Is that 40Euro with oil?? Filter is cheap. I think I paid £18 for it from Mr-T

I dont know which oil type the garage will use, but I might just buy the oil and filter for them, and just get them to fit them.

Yes €40 for oil only, the cost of labour is being covered by the Toyota guarantee on the injectors.
The secretary told me it would be €9 for the oil filter.

She may have been wrong.

For oil (10L), filter and sump plug washer, I think it was £65. Not the cheapest out.
Oil is Toyota branded 5W30.
Yours sounds very cheap. If labour is free, why not?  Very Happy

Castrol Edge is expensive  Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil

VERY expensive

So I'd take Mr T's offer. especially as they'll have a record on file of having done the change - just in case, you understand...

You may want them to use a camera to check the pick-up at the same time  Laughing
