This weekend I intend to change the gearbox oil on my Auto Colorado W reg, how much should I expect to see drain out? Does the oil in the Torque Converter get drained or does this stay there, and is it just a matter of filling it up down the tube until at the level, running the engine and checking again when running and topping up to the correct level?

thanks
Alan

You will get  about 2 - 2.5 ltrs out and that is it. You will never get it all and if memory serves that equals about a quarter of the total amount that the box and cooler hold. Yes you refill through the dipstick for the transmission and remember to check the level with the engine running and after you have gone from park to low and back again.
