Hello everybody,

I am trying to fit 33`s to my LC80.  I have borrowed a friends 33 inch tyre and fitted it to a 15x9 steel modular rim.

I then tried it on my 80 to test for rubbing etc, and was suprised how much it stuck out past the arch.!!

The rims do look deep dish compared to other steels rims i have seen.  Is this width rim (9inch) the wrong offset??

What i would like to know is whats the best size rim for a 33x12.50x15 tyre?? on 1990 LC 80???

I was not happy with the amount of tyre sticking out past the arch, and would be concerned about it wiping my arch out while off roading.

Any help/advice would be very much appreciated

Whilst I do not know a great deal about rims, I do know that the width and offset are two completely different things. You could get a 6inch rim that was out past the arches if it had a sufficiently silly offset. So I guess you need to check the offset too...

And probably anticipating your next question.. no, I don't know what the standard ones are.. but I suspect a search on here may find something  Very Happy
