Rocky.
265/75/16 will fit and is only slightly bigger than the 275/70. The General AT2 I've heard is pretty good as are the Falken. Also look at Kumho, Cooper, Goodyear and BFG _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon VX Active 4.2TD Auto

Make sure you check the speed ratings on each make as there is a large variation available even on two tyres of the same make and size (the price will show a difference). You could void your insurance if the tyres are not suitably rated
I'm just looking at tyres again myself... never ending |

How are your Falken A/T's doing? Either general grabber or falkens im after, falkens have same sort of pattern as the legendary BFG trac edge so im swaying towards these at the moment
Cheers,

Have the G Grabbers on my 80 24v , I'm more than happy , good for off road and very good on road , stable , roll well when at 38 - 40 psi , with them fitted the speedo is now only 1-2 mph out so be careful with those cameras. I drove to carlisle and back and got 29 mpg so reckon for an all terain they are very good. |

265/75/16 's , I didn't want to gear it up anymore as 1st gear is quite high when pulling away with 4 tons on the back ( yes I know ........ ) , they are a good compromise as they will still cut down through mud to find traction when wider tyres can spin on the top , but also are good enough at low pressures to float over the boggy stuff .
We recently took my disabled farther inlaw 5 miles either way over some private fells in near Carlisle through some fairley rough terrain with some boggy bits .... a trip that in anything other than the 80 and with decent tyres I would never have attempted without another vehicle being in support .
I rate the tyres on and off road |
