Thats seriously cold.
How did you keep the cab warm, was the toyo heater good enough?
Feb will be too cold for me, I'm planning on spring, just after the snow.
Thx for posting.

Yeah heater was fine and heated up almost as quick as back here..
The only problem was getting battery voltage back up in the morning to start but after the first cold morning and having to use stoves to heat the engine bay up we bought small 240v fan heaters and put them in the enginge bay as everywhere has electrical hook up for engine pre-heating. _________________ KZJ70 M reg keeping for spares

Two questions.
Did she say yes? (don't see any Milk Tray)
And
Did you buy the axe? I've always wanted a double headed Canadian variety, but never had the justification.
Your heating tray reminded me of the paraffin heater my dad used to use under the engine of the car. It was probably the winter of '47 when it was so cold he had to use the heater inside the garage.
Nice pics.

How did you get on with customs?
You can't even take a penknife on a plane these days.

Mind you, when we took the LC to Norway they didn't check anything, which is good because otherwise they would have found my EX WD machete.

Hi
In March I wanted Roger to buy a new 'vehicle'. However, he didn't like the driving position.
And I didn't feel quite so safe as the passenger!

Viv,
I was a passenger in one of those in Lapland, a good bit of fun but when the dogs do jobbies on the move it can get a bit smelly. _________________ It's Not a Bl**dy Jeep it's a Landcruiser

Looks like you enjoyed the trip. Do you have a more detailed report on it?. We are traveling to Nordkapp in June with a pair of 4.5L V8 78s, so I appreciate all your updates. |
