hi all, finished my awning in the week, needed some cover out back when cooking and various other reasons

very easy task really 10 meters of ripstop, 3 no adjustable poles, 2" webbing, 3/8 brass eyelets, 4no adjustable guy ropes / pegs
awning track, and awning fitting,

end result a good light weight awning with a multitude of uses

Nice one Joe, It's always so much more satisfying when you DIY.

Nice looking truck too......

Here's our effort that Lu and I did a few months ago:-

Take 3 Decathalon Tarps @£19.99 each and one old set of the kids goal posts that have been lying in the "they will come in handy one day" corner.

Next, take wife/partner etc and lock her in a small room with a sewing machine, feed and water every two hours until 'done', note the speed of those hands Shocked

Hey presto, one finished awning/changing room/kahzi for the Land Cruiser

Took some working out to get around the spare wheel mounts, but velcro and clever needlework got it sorted.

The tyres even have 'built in' tie down points Very Happy

The 'goal posts' fit into brackets bolted to the roof rack

got to say paul that is a very neat job, very impressed, and very private  is it a design off the old block or a copy, either way 10/10

soughts out all those little problems when you take the other half out on little jaunts,

my diy so far =  body lift, winch bumper, roof rack, awning, failed foxwing, unfinished drawers, soon to come stainless exhaust and rear wheel carrier

later joe

keep up the good work

I'm impressed by your aptitude for these jobs, I'm going for two commercial Fiamma roll-outs, one on each side!
