Hi, As a newbie to this forum, can anyone assist in suggesting where I can get tech.and electrical info. for my newly acquired 1983 bj42? Having just bought the only Haynes manual in existence, I find that it is for the petrol version.(fj40). No good for my diesel. I discovered the damaged bj42 hidden in a derelict ivy covered barn in the Pyrenees. No lights so bought virtually unseen. (Idiot). Delivered last week. Not damaged, simply a wreck. I can't imagine how many times it must have rolled down the mountain. Still, I need a good hobby, so I plan to strip to the chassis and go for a fibreglass tub. First though is to check the engine runs. It doesn't. Turns over but no firing. How best to check glow plugs? Can I presume by removing an injector I can view the spray? Perhaps I should have gone for a petrol job, that's a motor I understand. Help!
