I have a '93 Landcruiser 80. One of the rear electric windows stopped working and eventually the window glass dropped down. It turned out the lifting channel which supports the glass was badly corroded and had detached from the glass. Motor / switch etc all work fine. I've managed to get a replacement channel. It came with a rubber seal and when in the metal channel it fits very tightly over the glass. I'm having some difficulty fitting the channel to the glass. Has anyone in the forum done this? I would be grateful for any useful tips ..

I used some soapy water on the rubber, placed the glass edge down on a cloth and a rubber mallet to knock the channel on, so just be careful with it.

Hi, thanks very much.. tapping it on with a mallet is the key.. no good trying to slide it on as I’ve seen described on youtube. This worked a treat.. window back in and working perfectly 👍
