I’m a brit living  Belgium.  Just got my car MOT’d equivalent out here. Rear suspension malfunction (whatever that means) and front offside suspension arm needs replacement.

Local Toyota quoted £4,999 euros. Going to the MOT centre to confirm exactly what is needed to pass and I will get a second quote.

Sound excessive at £5k?????

Meant to say:

It’s a 2010 facelift model.  100k miles.  FSH main dealer. And i had it serviced by Toyota in UK in Dec 20. They didn’t pick up any suspension issues. It had 96k on clock then so only done 4k miles of normal road driving since.

Toyota Lincoln said Belgium Toyota quote and all of the work they suggested sounded excessive.

I’ll post an update but would appreciate any comments on rear suspension and spring replacement costs.

Thanks

Gary

Looks like I only need 2 rear shock absorbers and a front left suspension arm bush - or the arm if they can’t just get the bush. Waiting for an estimate from a local garage but I expect it will be nowhere near £5k!   So…if you’re ever in Belgium avoid Toyota Mons.

That sounds much better Gary.

Maybe Toyota were selling you the gold plated ones Smile
