1hd-ft 80 throttle position sensor is it needed

Hi I am new to the forum. But had cruisers for a good couple of years now, I am  just wondering if anyone has removed the throttle position sensor on there 1hd-ft? I have fitted one into my kzj70 and obviously not wanting lots of wiring all over the place. No egr or any other valves and the only vac pipe is the one to top of pump from in let
I m thinking if I adjust fuel and boost to suit I don’t think I need it might be wrong that’s why I am here to get some ones opinion it’s running and driving. With out it plugged in. Any help would be much appreciated cheers mick.

As far as I know the TPS is used by the gearbox ECU for shift control in the 80 series with the electronic A442 transmission.
If you have no need of the signal then the TPS is not required.
