Hi. Just had a burst from the metal connector, T piece that feeds the rear heater. They are both rusted out and not fit for use, so a web search for replacements. None that I can find, if anybody has located these, please reply.
So, time to come up with a home made replacement. Fairly straightforward, the pipe going to the heater is 8mm, standard plumbing size. But the main circulating pipes look to be about 18 mm ID so too big for 15mm copper and too small for 22mm. The solution was to use 15mm connectors as the "pipe" ends then shrink wrap to make them just that bit fatter.

Nice one. I love a bit of ingenuity.

This might be really useful for someone with this common problem. Luckily I've got a 3-door without a rear heater  Wink

Nice Smile  Just need to ensure good coolant and make sure the copper isn't touching any of the aluminum....

Hi Simon, good solution there, but wouldn't the 15mm copper tube with a Yorkshire straight connector soldered to it, give the required 18mm for a more 'permanent' fix.
