My rear springs are shot to bits.
Even with the third row of seats in and no passengers the car sags. A normal speed bump is hitting the bump stops. RIP springs.
They have had a very hard life towing horses, boats, caravans and being used as a van for carrying tree stumps and concerete 500kg+
I have been using air-lift poly bags to boost them. That worked very well but after 6 years they have spring a leak.
I am putting on some pedders standard height uprated springs from roughtrax now and I wonder if I need the poly bags?
I don't really have a guage of how much better the springs are than standard ones.
I would rather drop the poly bags to save buying a new set and to regain axle articulation.
Any input much appreciated.
Thanks

If you've bought and installed "uprated" rear springs, then I wouldn't have thought you'd need poly bags, unless of course you intend to keep "...towing horses, boats, caravans and being used as a van for carrying tree stumps and concrete 500kg+" often. In that case you might actually benefit from polybags to assist your new springs. _________________ '97 VZJ95 - Colorado 3.4V6 with LPG, 40mm Ironman SL, full SS exhaust, 265/75R16 Hankook Dynapro RF10s on 80 alloys and 195k+ |
