Hi all,

Does anyone know the best place to find engine diagrams for the 1996 1kz-te and part numbers?

I'm doing top end work on mine, and have found a severed and blanked hose on the right hand side of the block that I'd like to identify, and I'm also trying to track down one of the aluminium turbo to throttle body hoses (mine has a bolt hole broken off), but I've not found a suitable resource yet.

Any recommendations for this sort of resource, are gladly received!

Thanks,

Andy

Could your cut and blocked hose be an EGR valve deletion? Sounds like it to me. Plenty of people have done this without ill effects. Methods range from 'properly' blanking the valve to more quick and dirty methods such as blocking/removing the vaccuum hoses, which seem to work just as well.

No, I'm in the middle of doing that myself.  Blanking both manifolds and binning the pipe (pain in the ass to get the head back on if nothing else).

The pipe in question is I'd say around halfway along the block on the right side, under the intake manifold, but above the fuel pump (I'm going from memory here).  I'd say it's a hosetail around 10mm diameter, and someone's put about 2 inches of hose on it, with a bolt in and a pair of jubilee's.

There is another cut pipe coming out of the bulkhead that looks like it's the same diameter, but as I can't see another hosetail there, and it's not the heater matrix connections, I'm guessing it's maybe a drain for heater matrix leaks (wild guess).

I've already fixed a few bodges, and I'm keen to either reinstate whatever it's supposed to be, or at least blank it properly as the hose can be waggled by hand...
