I have a 99 LC 100 and now the telescopic adjustment is only about 1 cm.

From the innermost position is moves around 1 cm and then stops.

The other motor works as normal.

Anybody have a tip of how to get it to work again?

I think it's a case of rebuild or replace the motor, but be sitting down when you find out the price.

Is used ones an option? Or are they usually useless?

It just happened after I put it away for the winter witn battery decoupled.
Could this affect the moor operation, or is it probably just by coincidence?

Probably coincidence, they are awkward to change so second hand might see you taking it out again, I have just purchased a pair from Amayama, part numbers are telescopic, 89232-60022, tilt 89231=60022, £287,00 including delivery for the pair, however I have been stiffed by import duty of £78,00! double check those part numbers though!!

Hi again. Are the tilt and telescopic motors different? I thought they were the same.

Would it be possible that the mechanism is stuck somehow? And not the motor broken?
It moves 10 mm and then seem to stop by being stuck ..

I send him a message just now.
Is it new parts he has access to? And is it prepayment and the parts arrive as ordered?

The motors themselves look the same, however different plugs, different wiring loom, different mounting brackets, so on, there is a good write up on the Ih8mud forum with photos, might be worth lubing the mechanism but the motors are not serviceable, good luck.

I plan to buy a complete steering rod with both tilt and telescope motors and test and verify the motors before I transfer them to my car.

Is it any way to test the telescope motor on the steering rod wihout the ECU?

I thought mayby to apply 12V and GND on two terminals, but I do not find a description and do not want to damage them
