Whilst torqueing up the front wheel nuts (113Nm?) on my 120, one of them snapped off clean as a whistle! Snapped like a carrot. Is 113 Nm correct?
The real question is whether you can replace a broken wheel stud without removing the hub? |

113Nm is correct , but many owners or technicians over tighten them and as you know or should know over tightening studs weakens them so even tightening them to the correct torque they can snap due to metal fatigue , the studs are easy to change and are cheap to buy . |

As Tony says.... I had one snap on my old Mercedes ML in the last few months for exactly that reason (they'd been abused) - so I replaced them all ! |

Do not know without looking and taking a ruler to the back of the hub for measurement for clearance for hammering the stud out . |

Got the job done quite easily yesterday so can say with confidence that there is room to replace a snapped stud without removing the hub. |

Yeah, it's even possible to get the extended length ones from RoughTrax through without difficulty - in case anyone is considering fitting 30mm wheel spacers. |
