Given the lower rpm's of a diesel Id have thought the ratios would be different, but lets see what the experts say... |

I think he diesel uses an A442 and petrol uses A343 type of box. not 100% sure. _________________ It's Not a Bl**dy Jeep it's a Landcruiser

If you have a 5 speed it will be the A750F, the A750F was fitted to both the V8 Petrol and the straight 6 Diesel from facelift 2003 to the end of the 100 series 2007, the A750F I think is a much better Trans than the older 4 speed.
I'm not sure either, but I think the A750F maybe the same fitment for Petrol and Deisel, I think any probs that may arise would be with the electronics, main ECU talking to the Trans ECU talking to the Trans community.
On a side note. You prob know this, it's very important to only use the 'WS' (World Standard) fluid in the A750F Trans, as denoted on the fill plug[u][i] _________________ I love my country, but I fear my government. P.S. The A442F & the A343F were the previous 4 speed auto trans, as fitted to some of the 80's and earlier 100's, there are more specific fitment details, but they are irrelevant to you having a 5 speed, BTW, the 'F' on the end denotes 'Four Wheel Drive, as they made the A750 and the A442, A343 with an 'E' on the end, that denotes 'two wheel drive'..........Just my ramblings. _________________ I love my country, but I fear my government.
