Hi all,

I've got an ABS light permanently on my 1996 Prado/Colorado LWB 3.0.  Due to the condition of the sensor cables, particularly the fronts, I've replaced all 4 pre-emptively but the light still persists.

The rear sensors don't seem to want to go in fully flush, with the plastic bracket for the bolt sitting a few mils off the sensor face.  I've greased the sensors and tapped them home with a bar, but I'm hesitant to start smacking them around too much.  Is there a trick for getting these installed properly?

In terms of the actual fault itself, I'm going to have a look with the paperclip trick, but I've found a 22 pin OBD1 to OBD2 adapter cable.  I'm not holding out much hope that a standard OBD2 reader will hook into it, but has anyone tried connecting Forscan or the Toyota Techstream software up to the 90 series like this?  Or failing that, is there any other solution to get a better readout than the morse code approach?

Also, once sensors are changed, is there a specific process to reset ABS faults or is it the same as resetting the faults for the ECU generally?
