1999 VX100 Amazon 4.2 TD
Between the rev counter and the speedo there is a vertical line of indicator lights showing the position of the Automatic Gear Selector.
One or two of these bulbs have blown and, as they say, you don't miss them until your without them.
Has anybody got any guidance about how to replace these?

disconnect batteries.. wait 2 mins...remove airbag horn assemly using size 30 star bit in screwdriver tool...remove steering wheel... remove dash facia screws and covers..and large brass screw bolts and gently pull towards you ...turn facia over and twist to remove special size bulbs available from main dealer only ..from printed circuit .. reversal to re-install
fairly easy job to do ..even i did it comfortably in 30 mins good luck let us know how you fared.. _________________ 1999 Amazon Auto VX 4.2 TD Active
I changed the steering tilt motor on Saturday and since I had the steering covers off I decided to remove the speedo / rev counter unit.
Like you said Busburywolf it was an easy job. However I didn't remove the steering wheel, I just unscrewed the 4 fastening screws then after unsucessfully attempting to remove the speedo/rev unit unscrewed the larger wire loom bolts. Out it popped, took the cover off the back and changed the bulb. No problem.
