Hi,can antone tell me where the electrical feed for the rev counter is taken from on the HJ60 models?Its a 89 manual version.

Not sure, but try the alternator, will be the W terminal most likely, if its a diesel, petrol no idea, sorry ! |

The 2H counts the revs from the flywheel. I think the wiring is on the RH side of the bellhousing _________________ 1995 HZJ75 troop carrier

Yes i thought that as well and had a good look in that area but doesnt appear to be any sensors or wiring around the bell housing!!
Not even The local Toyota dealer could tell me,probably because they are all kids and never seen worked on a old shape Landcruiser.

No its not there.Its never worked since a had the truck so maybe the bell housing has been changed?Only thing is i thought all hj60 5 speeders had a rev counter so not sure that theory is right??

all the ones ive owned/been in have had rev counters. maybe your wires have come off, taking the tag with , and just leaving a screw in bolt head looking thing which is actually your rev sensor in disguise?? |

My BJ40 has HJ60 running gear and I've fitted a rev counter from a 60 series. The sensor is mid way down the bell housing on the right hand side looking at the engine. I currently have the wing off on the that side so I'll photo it for you but it will be next week.
