Does anyone know what size socket fits the diff drain plug?Tried 23mm was to small 25mm to big so i thought 24mm will be the one,it fits but it seems a bit loose.Thanks.

You need 24, preferably 6 point, not 12.

It's 24mm. Must be six point, or you will end up rounding the edges of the bolt. The socket must be short enough to fit behind the front stabilizer bar. I strugged with my front bolt because of this, but eventually released it with a two foot extension bar. These bolts are easily rounded because the head is only about 3-4mm in depth. After removing, I bought new bolts from Toyota @ £3 each. Same size bolt is used for gearbox, transfer case and both diffs.
