Does anyone know what size socket fits the diff drain plug?Tried 23mm was to small 25mm to big so i thought 24mm will be the one,it fits but it seems a bit loose.Thanks. |

You need 24, preferably 6 point, not 12. |

It's 24mm. Must be six point, or you will end up rounding the edges of the bolt. The socket must be short enough to fit behind the front stabilizer bar. I strugged with my front bolt because of this, but eventually released it with a two foot extension bar. These bolts are easily rounded because the head is only about 3-4mm in depth. After removing, I bought new bolts from Toyota @ £3 each. Same size bolt is used for gearbox, transfer case and both diffs. _________________ Frederick (London SW15)
