Hi All,

I've just bought a '92 4.2 VX. This is my first post and I'd appreciate your advice.

The wing mirrors fold back, but the nearside one needs a push to get it to motor back out. Any of you any advice on how I can solve this?

It's an automatic, and has a red button forward of the gear selector, but I've no idea what it's for? Confused

TIA, Ian.

Lets you select neutral without the engine running. Think it's a safety feature to lock it in park when ignition is off so you can't accidentally knock it into neutral and roll down a hill or the kids or the dog etc.

PS
You trying to steal my name!

I would suggest that the motor is a bit knackered like my drivers window motor. Might be worth removing the mirror and chacking for any rust on the pivot and giving it a shot of WD40 but I would suggest that a new motor for the mirror is the way to go.
