Hi Andy,
I'm sure I read on this forum somewhere that you got hold of some new injectors for your LC on the net, from Germany I think? If you did could you let me know where from? I've been searching for some new or recon injectors for the 1HD-FT but had no luck.A local diesel shop can recon my own injectors but it means the truck being off the road for 7-10 days or so.I figured if I could find someone who sells new or recon (exchange) injectors I could get the job done in a day.

Cheers

Here is the place.

It's only the injector nozzles, you need to remove the injector assembly and undo the end and remove the old nozzle, refit the new and reassembale then fit to the engine.

It's only the nozzles that need replacing anyway.

Thanks Andy'

He seems to have plenty available for the 1HD-T but non listed for the 1HD-FT so I'm trying to find out if they are the same.Is it advisable to change the springs at the same time? I've heard these springs weaken with age causing the injectors to 'fire off' prematurely at a lower pressure.

Cheers

The springs do weaken with time, but we are talking a lot of time and mileage here, over 200K then maybe you should. I'll have a look in the manual to see if they are the same as the 24 valve ones.

I asked the shop selling the nozzles on E Bay if they would fit the 1HD-FT and they said they were different.I then looked on the Toyota EPC and the part numbers appear to be the same! so I'm still no wiser.Maybe the ones they are selling are not OE?
