Hi Jon, You could also roll it out alongside cruiser, and use that to store you boots and clothes.I am a fan of the swag, but need a few different ways of using it over here in this lovely climate of ours.

Paul. check wayfarer for January, understand some repair work going on up there, and Conquering Hero, the bad gate at the farm end, it has been narrowed by the farmer, and Wrexham council are on the case, courtesy Of John from POCUK, and his hard work on keeping a check on most routes in North wales.

Pajless at the mo, but hopefully Landcruiser soon.

have fun no matter where, and if ther eis spare seats, me and mike the map will be there.

camp site, we use Station camp site in Carrog a lot, sure there open all year

Yes I know there was repair work up on the Wayfarer, it was done by me. Some more to be done in the next few weeks.

As for the Conquering Hero, yes I know about the gate, I might be doing it this weekend and I have the chainsaw ready. But just a small point - it is in Denbeighshire and not Wrexham Wink

John is a member of CRAG as am I Smile.

One camp site I use a lot is www.tyisafbala.co.uk

Driving up from South Devon so won't be able to arrive to early in the day.

I am running a standard LJ70 at the moment if that makes any difference.

Cheers

I was reading a review of them in a magazine and the reviewer mentioned he'd got wet where he must have touched the inside of the swag while sleeping in the rain. I'd assumed they were treated to stop wicking, have you had that problem?

Hi Jon,

It can happen, but they need soaking from new,to swell the stitching.Generally the are pretty good, but in the uk i sleep in it in a tent, with a double duvet and blankets in winter, and then i am toastie.

At the moment i am in Oz, rough camping for the next 4 weeks around central oz.Dont think it will rain.

Cheers for now,

Tony.

I would really like to try and make this trip with Little Blue, but I'm in London on the Friday, so could only join up on Saturday Morning. Early starts are no problem for me if you have a 'wheels up' around breakfast time I can be there for the start. Did I see that this is near Bala? We've just bought a hotel on Bala Lake, I might be able to blag a room there.
