Early last year the AC didn't appear to be working ....... not been touched since car new ('53) - Toyota never suggested I should have it looked at at service time.  Now I know different!  As my son works for Lexus he got it re-gassed for me and I could see some liquid in the inspection glass.  But that dissapeared after a few weeks - so got an AC service done at Toyota... (£100!) - dye added and checked again at last service - no leaks reported.  Can't recall now whether I checked the glass....

Had a butchers in the inspection glass today and can see nothing again - but the AC is still working fine - freezing cold etc. etc. - run the AC and can't see any bubbles or anything moving!

Something else for me to worry about? Confused

Sorry Dannyson - my knowledge of a/c systems is commensurate with what I know about needlepoint.  But I will ask one of the a/c techs in our workshop this morning - they are regassing a 105 with a stuffed compressor so I might learn something!
