does anyone know correct settings for valve clearances. My cruiser is coming up to 40k miles and its starting to tappet a bit. According to manufacturer the valve clearance need to be adjusted every 30k miles so i want to get this sorted.

what kind of LC is it ?
am looking for the same settings  for my V8 4.7

Thats for your car

Clearance Inlet       0.15mm-0.25mm cold
Clearance Exhaust  0.25mm-0.35mm cold

I can help as I logged on to the Toyo thingy a while back and bought some info:

For LJ120, 125, KDJ120, 125

1KD-FTV engine, 3.0D4-D

inlet 0.20-0.30mm and exhaust 0.35-0.45

Oh, that's of January 2004.

yeh i got inlet 0.20mm ex 0.30mm for the V8 4.7 2UZFE as well seems to be a standard setting for toyota's ?
