Myself and Ecky are up on the plain for day's Greenlaning this sunday if anyone is interested in joining us.

Given all the rain we've had recently it should be muddy and fun.

I would be keen but have been roped into hitting Brick Kiln on Sunday with the local Surrey LR crowd  Shocked  If I'd known you guys were heading out I wouldn't have got involved with such dubious company!!

Definitely keen to join you when you next head to the 'Plain!

Cheers,

Ecky and Tommo,

How did the trip to Salisbury go on Sunday? I'm guessing you had a bit of rain to make things interesting!
My trip out with the LRs was a bit chaotic - the site we went to was closed for some banger race  Shocked  (don't even ask!) so we ended up going laning around Hampshire between Basingstoke and Alton and found some really nice lanes, so not a bad day out at all! Only one breakdown for the Landies (out of three vehicles) and some major Cruiser envy developing Very Happy

Cheers,

All in all not a bad day out actually.  Key highlights were:

1.  Big muddy hill which neither of us could get up in the end, despite locked diffs and AT tyres.  I was a bit confused when halfway up the hill i found all my wheels spinning and i was going nowhere as is didn't look too bad.  Thus i got out of the cab and nearly found myself at the bottom of the hill as even my boots couldn't maintain traction!  And were not talking a small hill either, it's about 300m long and probably 20-25 degrees at it steepest point.

2.  Tommo gets a puncture and we have to change it in the pissing rain and liquid mud...always great for morale.

3.  Playing on the tank testing area which has some extreme cross axles, deep water and v steep muddy hills, if your cruiser can make it here its as good as a Challenger II.

Were off up there again on Sunday if anyone fancies it to try out Ecky's new suspension.  OME all round with 2'' lift!!

Yes, I am keen for Sunday! I have another booking that I am trying to change, so assuming I can move it I'll be there, probably with wife & kids in tow!

Cheers,

That's cool Andrew

I'll have two of the daughters in tow and the elder ones boyfriend.

I'll be taking a single burner stove so we can brew up.

Morning Guys,

What's the plan for Sunday? I presume you guys will hit the M25 and go round to the M3 etc - where do you suggest meeting and what time?
Just checked the weather forecast for Devizes on Sunday and it's SUNNY  Very Happy  so all looking good!

Sounds like you're bringing some potential babysitters along, Les!  Wink

Cheers,

Me n Tommo generally meet there because he comes up from Portsmouth.

I will be leaving Crawley at 09:00, M23, M25, M3, A303 so I can meet you on route if you want.

It's about 20 to 25 mins from home to J9 M25 to give you an idea.

Plenty of baby sitters during 'T' stops etc. Don't forget to bring a picnic as we never get near habitation.

Sounds good, Les. It probably makes most sense to meet up along the way, rather than delaying/hanging around a service station. We'll be getting onto the M25 at J10 and it takes about 15-20mins from home. Why don't you give me a ring or text when you leave and we'll aim to hit the M25 at J10 half an hour after that?

Yes, the picnic is the highlight for my passengers so we'll make sure that the catering isn't forgotten!

Looking forward to it!

Cheers,
