I'm looking at maybe getting a water tank from Oz for my 120 (custom fit under the rear bumper) and wanted to know if anyone else e.g. Crispin or 'vette, were interested?
See here: Water Tank
I'll contact them with details - my spare wheel is under-body mounted - 'vette. IIRC yours is on the back door - Crispin, is yours under-body mounted too?
Anyone else interested? _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

Oh that is tidy. I have been looking at trying to fit a smallish tank to mine. But really running out of room. Was wondering about having a custom one made up in stailness that would fit in what space I have left. But that is a doozie.
By the way Gary, I got one of those Coleman lamps and the hard plastic carry case. Very good.

Did it come with the clip-on mantles, or the tie-on jobbies? Quite keen to get some of the clip-on ones - got to be easier than trying to tie a new one to the hot generator in the dark _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

it is sealed? Will it hold pressure? What I am really asking is: Can I fill it with beer?
My spare is under the the back, not the door I am toying with finding a scrapped door and swapping.
How much are they? I might be interested.
bit of a random question: I guess, as it's from Aus, it's designed to fit with the larger (180L) fuel tank. So, adding this will not mess with my ideas of adding the larger tank. _________________ Cheers,

There you go
I've found 3 scrap rear doors - one of which I'm going to buy (I think) - they're complete, which is what I want. Got them via a lead from you , actually, from your breakeryard.com link ... They're about £350 each + VAT + shipping. There was one on fleabay I was watching but he wanted £650 for it ... (mind you it was the right colour already ) _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

I will try that actually. £350 (£402) I can swallow. £650 is a push. _________________ Cheers,

Ja - those have been there for ages. Problem is that the spare mount and all teh internal supports cost a bomb from Toyota, so I decided to spend more and get a complete door, with glass, supports, wheel mount etc. Don't mind if I have to get it stripped and painted, but don't want to have to build one up.

Gary, they're tie on. Not a prob really. Would have like the twin mantle, but this is fine. I have plenty of back ups! But now I fancy the stove too.
OK back to the original thread.

Is that a petrol or gas lamp you're talking about? My coleman gas lamp has clip on mantles. _________________ Jon m0zxj

For intrest - the Aussies say the water tank will not fit a 120 with the under-slung spare wheel. _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

Hi Guy's
Well that could be a double item in one shipment.
I have considered the long range fuel tank, like the standard one in South Africa, giving an additional 80 litres or some think like.
A 21 litre water tank stuck behind that is seriously going to give any rear springs a tough work out.
