Hi all

Just found this forum while trying to get parts for my HJ60, wish I had found it earlier.

Mine is a 1982 HJ60, about 220,000 miles.  I am the second owner, bought it in 1991/92 when it had 80,000 on it.  It had been Waxoyled on all the inside panels from new, so that helped, but all the bits where the Waxoyl did not reach are starting to go. Wonder if I have got a claim agains the garage that did the original Waxoyl application  ? Wink

It is on its second respray, did the first one about 8 years ago but the dreaded tin worm is back.  Just finished cutting, folding and welding back in the complete rain gutter all the way round.  Just seen a link on this site ffrom Germany for a company that sells body panles...especially rear wheel arches...damn...just spent three days rebuilding mine with guillotine, hammer folder and mig.

Now on the lookout for a new headlining...(yes I burnt mine while welding the new gutter   Sad   )

Also trying to find a new windscreen rubber..at least the chrome/plastic moulding that goes inside the rubber.  Have seen them from an Oz website for:
Without Moulding:         56121-90A04      $AUD132.00        (listed on our website)
With Moulding                 56121-90A05      $AUD220.70        (not listed on our website)

It is no problem for us to ship overseas.  Due to the weight and size of the rubbers, freight to Europe would be:

International Courier     $AUD128.00
Sea Mail

           $AUD58.00

Anyone know of a UK supplier for the rubber?  or the headlining?

So a first quick question or two
Mine is a HJ60....what are FJ60's ?...are parts interchangeable?
Anyone know of a UK supplier for the rubber?  or the headlining?

Thanks All

Neil

Hi Neil

welcome on board.

Can't help you on parts, but can confirm that on FJ60 is the petrol version of the 60 series, so some parts will be interchangeable but not all.

Good luck on finding a supplier - perhaps try: www.ih8mud.com

Hi Neil,

If you're still looking for rubbers and headlining material try Woolies (they're on the net). They have a large selection of rubbers and supply h/l material. Just use your old one as a pattern.

Thanks for the tip.

I actually just received a new headlining made by a local up holsterer.  It is not quite the same material, it is the sort with the minute holes in it, but better than nothing.  Would have rather had the original type of material , but the bloke said he could not get it.

I am now going to re uese the old windscreen rubber...it was still not too bad, and I managed to get the new insert strips from Toyota.

I wondered what you were talking about at first, I did not imagine Woolworths would sell anything to do with cars, but searched their website briefly, before trying a search again using 'Woolies'

I have found them on the net and saved them for next time.
