Hi Elvis,
Hopefully the info below will help:
(I will get round to posting those photos for you... eventually, Rodger)
The production code of a Land Cruiser breaks down as follows:
aJnna[a-aa...]
The numbers/letters preceding the dash describe the body/frame style.
The first digit indicates the motor series (B/F/H/...)
The "J" indicates the vehicle came from the "J" production line.
the 3rd and 4th digits are numeric and indicate the series (25/40/60/...)
The 6th digit (if present) indicates steering position:
L Left Hand Drive
R/Missing Right Hand Drive
The 7th digit (if present) indicates body type:
V Hardtop
G Luxury Model/Wagon
P Pickup
Missing Soft Top
The letters after the dash indicate options etc:
Transmission type
U/missing 3SPD
K 4SPD
M 5SPD
P 4SPD Auto
Rear Door Type
U/missing 3SPD
missing Tailgate
C Swingout (Ambulance) Doors
N Lift-up Tailgate (Wagons Only)
Grade/Trim Level
E VX
N GX/LX
R Standard
Roof
Z High Roof
Aspiration/Fuel
S Standard
E EFI
X Turbocharged
U DOHC, Carb
K DOHC, EFI
Z DOHC, EFI, Turbocharged
The last letter usually indicates the intended market:
S Standard
W Europe
Q Austalia
Y Japan
K Canada
A North America
V Middle East
If the vehicle was delivered incomplete (usually as a cab and chassis) it received the final designation of "3" |

Probably a 74 to 80 with a B engine. The BJ41 has the 2B ,80-82 and the BJ42 82-84 has the 3B.
The years can overlap depending on the market.
There should be a plate on the firewall with the build date _________________ 1995 HZJ75 troop carrier
1988 FJ73 with 1HZ diesel conversion.
1995 HZJ75 cab chassis
Holden Commodore V6
YAMAHA TT600R Belgarda
