Has anyone removed this system and replaced with a standard UK head unit?  How did you work around the aircon controls?  Are the connectors DIN compatible? etc etc  Any help gratefully recieved.

I did this on my 80, the wifes 80 and her old 90.

I don't know what motor you have.
If it is a import 80 it will probably need the amp bypassing to put in a standard head unit.

There are loads of converter cables out there from Toyota to JVC or Sony, etc etc.

Sorry Spencer, Can't help you with that one.

Find out if it has a seperate amp on board. Folk told me that on the 80 I would need to spend quite a bit of cash due to the amp but in the end it was fine just to unplug the amp and forget it.
The electrics will be Toyota but you can get these sort of things to convert;

This is Toyota to standard ISO which is what most head units use these days.

Hopefully someone else will be along to give you 100 series pointers.
