Hi Guys, can anybody tell me if my TZ should have heated mirrors and if so, how to turn them on/off? It seems strange that such a well equipped vehicle should not have them. Also, should the rear blower provide heat? The slider switch on the rear of the centre consul has a blue(cold) and red(hot) setting but i cant get anything but cold air to blow from it. Any ideas on how these systems work and any common faults etc. would be much appreciated. Martyn |

Come on guys. Surely, somebody must be able to help me out here. Also does anybody know where i can get a set of over mats (not rubber) to fit my Prado, as my present ones have long since seen better days. I've been scouring e bay for some time but not seen any the same shape as the ones i have now, although some claim to fit 98-03 colorado's. Will they? Any help appreciated. Martyn. |

Hi,
I'm fairly sure that the TZ does not have heated mirrors - but I'm not sure on the age of yours [the newer models may have????]
As for the rear heater I've little help to offer, but I think the blower and heater core for the rear are located under the center consol and front seats [which need to be removed to gain access].
If you're getting plenty of heat up front then I would think that there could be an obstruction in the coolant hoses to the rear heater core or the heater core itself.
That would mean a back flush but I couldn't help there.
Hopefully someone can supply more info for you.

You should have two small pipes that branch off from the main heater pipes, have a look at the bulkhead under the bonnet, remove these pipes and try and flush the heater core with a high pressure hose, also check the slider control wires have not come off inside the centre console. _________________ It's Not a Bl**dy Jeep it's a Landcruiser
