Howdy All.

I have a HJ60 almost finished for african trip anyone got views on Engel installation
these fridges are very smart they are 12v and 24v also Normal 240v house old etc.

Just looking for the easy route on this one dont think i need split charge to another
two 12v batteries. Ie 24v to 24v charge.

May run it to a small inverter and thats it turn fridge on when moving etc
and let it chill when stop...Any advice People.

Its best to run them directly off the batteries with thick wire via the shortest route with an inline fuse.
If the fridge doesnt have a low voltage cut off switch you can add you own.

I use a 100 amp deep cycle battery to run the fridge and recharge the deep cycle battery from the engine battery when the engine is running.

You can also turn the fridge off at night if its cool. I usually turn up the volume for an hour or 2 before I stop driving and it stays cool all night.
I dont take frozen items, instead I vacuum pack meat with my own machine which are quite cheap these days
