My fob went in the washing machine but I noticed in time and slapped the wife before taking it out.

I opened it up and  the circuit board had stayed dry but I left it all open to dry the housing.  Obviously this meant the battery was off for more than 10 seconds, so now the fob doesn't work.

I've tried the TVSS reprogram instructions, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.  I've located the TVSS box, mines a TVSS3, with a green button and a row of dip switches.  I turn on the ignition, press the green button, and then press a button on the fob, then turn the ignition off, but no luck.  No indication or anything in the car that anything has worked.

The fob appears to be working, as the LED comes on when I press the button.

Any ideas, anyone?

Typical, I go back outside to carry on fiddling after writing my post and through some miraculous combination of an incantation of summoning the gods of Toyota alarms, and blind luck, it started to work.
