Hello - my 02 plate Colorado was hit a few weeks ago and is in the garage for repairs. I had a phone call last week to say they were struggling to find a new running board and would I mind if they changed both? Given the other side was hit last year and no one left their contact details I was delighted at this prospect! I got another call today to say they couldn't find anything to fit and did I mind if they repaired the one side only.

They had bought in a second hand pair but they were apparently worse than the ones they took off!

My question is... would running boards from something like a Hilux fit? I'd really like new ones if possible as it wasn't me that did the damage and to add insult to injury I've got a Nissan Note as a hire car!

Thank you in advance

The running boards are usually universal and come in few standard sizes starting with about 60" up to 80" if I am not mistaken, however the mounting brackets are vehicle specific, so you may need to reuse the brackets from the old running boards or get something for your colorado. This process of picking matching components is a bit complicated and it may be cheaper and easier just to get a brand new set for your 02 Colorado. Some of the 3"-4" thick running boards are very affordable.
