2011 LC4 Sat Nav Question

We have noticed that since our LC4 was serviced (without any map update) that the Sat Nav plots dots on your route showing the roads that the car has travelled on. It's not a major issue but it's irritating as it clutters the screen. There doesn't seem to be any option for this to be turned offand we cant be sure exactly when it started doing it but it hasn't done it from new. Can anyone help with this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
