UPDATE
I have some great news for this event, I have been in touch with Total Off Road magazine and today received a reply from their assistant editor, which reads as follows
"Hi Mike
I work alongside Bobby on Total Off Road and your combined club event
sounds great - I would love to come along. It will be lovely to meet
the club members and I will take lots of photos so we can produce a
really good two/three page spread on the event.
Could you possibly email me the starting time, a rough plan for the day
and the address of the centre.
I look forward to meeting you on the 1st.
Best wishes,
Gemma

UPDATE
I spoke to the assistant editor of Total Off Road magazine today and he said that if they have a member of their staff available that weekend, the magazine would be very interested in covering this event
He said he would be in touch nearer the time but even if they don't have anyone who can cover it they would still be very interested in any photos for inclusion in the magazine.
So come on let's get some muddy Pajeros in print |
I think he means get some muddy Landcruisers in print |

That was the post i put on POCUK it was also suitably ammended for MDOCUK, i hadn't had chance to put it on here yet.
The assistant editor said he was interested to get all types of 4x4's featured in the magazine as there are quite a few Land Rovers in there at the moment So come on people, get muddy |

I've just had an email from the site manager who is stating "no road tyres" so i guess from that only Mud terrain or All terrain tyres will be allowed, i'll get clarification of that. watch this space. |

Ok i've spoken to the site owners reference "no road tyres" and it seems this is based purely on the fact that road bias tyres won't get anywhere, which is why they state All terrains or Mud pattern, they did say that if it's really dry then road tyres would be ok. I personally would suggest that if you have road tyres that have a chunky looking tread then it might be worth a go.
Please let myself or Pj know if this is going to be a problem for anyone. |
