Anyone seen the plans to increase insurance premiums for 4x4 drivers, they are planing on going on the weight of the vehicle, the greater the weight the higher the premium, cruiser drivers don't stand a chance, what's your thoughts?

Saw them yesterday.

Not impressed at all. In fact, prteet pee'd by it. Yet again we're seen as the revenue generators. Ok, maybe a bit strong, but I blame the X5's and such like!  Wink
Will depend on the increase costs - but i'm guessing it would cost me far more at this stage to buy a good quality replacement car that would keep me half as happy as the 80, when compared to paying extra ins premiums. Classic car insurance may also be a way ahead in the future. My 80 is 15 years old now, and I'm sure my old Landr***r  Embarassed which was over 20 qualified for cheap classic insurance - maybe a way forward if the cruiser is a second car due to mileage limits.

Simon.
