Hi How many litres of gearbox oil would I need to change the oil on my gierbox Toyota Lang cruiser Colorado 1998 model
I also added the post earlier on I made a bit of a mess of it because I was multitasking it’s all come out wrong what I wanted to know was where could I find some running boards for the land cruiser

For Manual trans its 2.2L of API GL-4 or GL-5, SAE 75w-90. You're unlikely to get the full 2.2L in so it's a case of filling slowly until it starts to run out of the filler. (For anyone inexperienced, make sure that you can undo the filler cap before draining.)
For Auto its 10.1L (dry fill), or 2.0L if you do a basic drain and refill. ATF D-II or Dexron III (Dexron II)
That's from the factory service manual. If it's an auto, I don't have any experience so I'd suggest searching on here for the correct procedure.
Running boards would be best obtained from a breaker and make sure you get the brackets too! I dare say that aftermarket ones could be made to fit, but sorry no experience of that. _________________ 1997 KZJ90 3.0d, 2" suspension lift, 235/85/16 Cooper STT Pros. 217k hard miles |
