Hi is it an MOT fail for the front brake backing plates to be completely missing

Both mine gone. Two different MOT testers, no problems. For a long time I had one but not the other so it would have been obvious to the MOT chap!

Thanks one was missing for a couple of MOTs just replaced both calipers and the other has just come away.just seem to be a bit more popping up about the topic.
By the way I used to live in Hull not that far away from York  Very Happy

Well, I can only report my experience and maybe I've got lucky.

I'm inching closer to Hull. I've moved from York and now live close to Howden.
