Hi,
Does anyone know where to source the Hydraulic hoses for the rear dampers? Main dealer is £470 + Vat each
Is it possible to jhave them made up in uk?
Also doe the line alter acording to year? I know the damper change in 1999 but cant seem to confirm if the hydraulic lines differ.
Thanks in advance. I have managed to get both lines disconnected but it seems finding replacements is harder than the actual removal!

Yes you can get them made up, there are companies who specialise in mobile services to the transport and plant operators, they carry all sorts of pipe sizes and types and myriads of fittings, just be wary of the biggest name(s) in this sector because they charge heavily (you really don't want to know) and many tranport operators (particularly in the car transporter sector where an 11 car carrier can have hundreds of yards of pipes) have moved away from the big one(s) and given contracts to less well known companies.
Probably cheaper if you can get the vehicle to them, saving on call out charges, if you can remove and refit the pipes yourself so all they have to do is duplicate them cheaper still.
If you know any local lorry mechanics or workshops have a word in their ear who they use, they'll have someone reasonably priced they use, even if you don't know them personally most lorry mechs are normal working bods just trying to make ends meet the same as the rest of us and will more than likely suggest who to go to. |

Hi jharris,
Did you have any luck sourcing the lines anywhere other than the dealer here in the UK? |
