Fitted the LED reversing bulbs today after a bit of a struggle loosening the lenses from the plastic mushroom buttons. I had wondered about the + and - connection as I know that LEDs only work if correctly + and - connected. Doubt was confirmed when the LEDs didn't light at first but fortunately, found the bulb holders could be fitted at 180 deg which solved that.
As forecast, a great improvement and well worth the modest cost. Nowhere practical to fit an LED floodlight on the rear of a TLc.
All I need now is for my reversing buzzer to behave, this last fortnight occasionally the buzzer sounds continuously, other times quite normal!

😁 Great !! Yer, those clips can be a bit tight, can't they , if not the lights flop about.
I don't understand your bit about turning the bulb holder, why would you just not remove bulb and turn around as they are wedge/push in? I must have been lucky with mine on 1st occassion putting them in, then removing to photograph for Karl, and putting back in. Both times good.
You got there anyway to improve reversing light projection which was the plan. 😀
Good luck with the parking sensors, sorting them out front or rear, can be a PITA and a lost cause. |

I think I had to turn one of my bulbs around, but dont remember if it was the reversing lights or the tail / brake lights as I replaced those at the same time!
Parking sensors... TonyC's probably got the only working ones |

It was my slow wittedness TM, My first reaction was to turn the LED in the holder, then put the holder back in place but LED still didn't light, I then realized that the holder could be put in in two different attitudes and I had replaced it the second time in the other position to the first time so negating my rotating the LED !!!
Experience or hind-sight is a good substitute for intelligence.

I didn't realise the holder could be put in two ways - another thing to catch us out eh!
More good info on this thread, thanks Dafydd - good feedback helps us all! |
