Car starts up and runs fine. When I turn the engine off, it gives a noticeable shudder - its not running on, just a shudder!
I've just had a new front propshaft installed the old one was shot/clonking badly and the shudder started once the new one was installed.
Car is 24 years old/280,000 miles and on its original engine mounts so I thought that'd be a good place to start - any other suggestions and is it just bad luck/unfortunate co-incidence one thing has followed another?
Thanks
Andrew

Hi
Before you change your engine mounts check all the small vacuum tubes around the engine and EGR valve. If any are loose or split  the small butterfly valve in the throttle body doesnt close and it will let the engine run on and make it shudder like you describe. Then check your engine and your gearbox mountings. My gearbox mounting went at 240,000 miles but looked fine until I tried jacking up the gearbox and found the rubbers had detached from the metal.  HTH
