Hi all
I've just arrived in North Coast of Cornwall. Near Padstow. I've got an odd noise from my front discs. Can anyone recommend a garage in this area ? Or should I trust a Kwikfit type place ?
Any advice welcome
I had a new calliper and front pads fitted about 5 months ago. It sounds like I've lost a pad

Hi
It turned out all it was ..was the heat shields at the back of the front discs. They had corroded and were catching at the back of the discs
Found a nice friendly owner of Auto Tech of St Kews Highway in Cornwall. Sorted the problem at no charge
He peeled off the offending steel and suggested replacing them at some point
Well how often does that happen ?

Perfect result there, even if you replace for new later. He is one of the ever decreasing garages that value customers, knowing you will recommend/use him again.
I did both my backplates a short while ago through rot - not a difficult job.
