I’ve got a rumbling coming from the front of my LC 95 while driving. I suspected a front wheel bearing had failed but I’ve checked for play and seem to be ok. Could it be a front diff bearing? If so is there any way of checking for this?

Cheers Will

Test by removing front prop lock center diff and take for a steady drive (you may not be insured as you will be in rear wheel drive only)

They're noticeably more sprightly in 2wd!

Yes I have always thought it's a shame they don't have a RWD option

I understand in some markets there was a selectable 4wd option. I agree, it's a shame we didn't get them. The rear end is probably is heavy enough in these that you wouldn't get the same tail happy woaAH-moments you get in an unladen rear wheel drive pick up on wet roundabouts (or at least you used to in Hiluxes in the eary 2000s, I don't know if modern ones are better).
