|
|
Hello All,
I have a 1KZTE AT Prado J95 and I am trying to find a replacement Engine ECU (I have already tried ECU doctor and he was unable to repair it)
A online part catalogue search suggests the car should have the a 89661-60860 however when searching for these part the Denso number can be either 175800-2541 or 175800-2542
Does anyone know what the denso number means, as these parts have the same toyota part number are they interchangable?
Thanks |

These numbers 175800-2541 or 175800-2542 appear under the toyota part number. They appear to be a Denso number.
The part number on the ECU removed from the vehicle is 89661 - 60520 with 175800-2541 (Denso number) ... however this number does not appear to be correct. The sticker doesnt look original and through extensive searching online I cannot find any ECU's with number that looks like mine. All other Prado ECU's with this number have 3 connectors not 4.
Unfortunatly I cant post images to help clear this up. |

Ive done the same with the Frame number and I get a different number for the ECU.
It seems that cars built 1996-1999 got 89661-60520, late 1999 cars got 89661-60860 |

Update on this topic
I took a chance on an ECU from Japan because the price was right and it had the Caps changed proffesionally. Even though the Denso number was different to once on my ECU it seems to work fine. So an ECU with either 175800-2541 or 175800-2542 numbers seem to be interchangeable |
