I have a year 2000 land cruiser colorado commercial swb. Its the 3.0td model, 1KZ-Te engine. It has been parked in my shed for more than a year whilst I did a chassis repair. When I tried to start it it wont start. The old batterry was dead so I fitted a new one.. it is fitted with a denso electronic pump. Fuel is coming to the filter when I prime with the button. Fuel is also going to the injector pump. If I release the return line banjo bolt on top of the inj pump fuel comes out here when I prime the button. When I release the four injector lines on the pump nothing comes out when I either prime or crank the engine over. I removed the bolt on the side of the inj pump behind which is a small white filter. I cleaned it but it wasnt really that dirty. I disconnected the suction control valve connector and tested it with a batterry direct and I can hear it clicking. I took of the spill control valve and tested it as well and heard it clicking. Tried cranking engine over again and nothing. A mate told me to take the small pointed pin out of the spill control valve and crank engine ovef again but no luck. I refitted the complete spill valve again and connected it direct to a batterry and cranked the engine over but nothing. I think I have now burnt out the spill valve cause when I take it out and test it there is no clicking. Looks like I need a new spill valve but I'm not even sure that will fix my issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Paul, northern ireland.

Does it try to start as in turn over, etc... Could the fuel be gone off if it's sat a year maybe.
