Hello everyone,
As the Subject says when i am driving every time i turn my headlights on, the fuel rail closes turning the car off. I own a 1986 Landcruiser with the 2H motor. I have traced the problem back to the drivers side headlight, when that is on thats when the rail closes. Can someone please help me! I am out of ideas.

Try checking all the earthing points on you truck, I think you may have a bad/broken earth wire, the fuel sytem is using another path to earth, and when you turn on the headlights this is then broken so the fuel system the has no earth. You can try running a new earth wire straight from the batt - to join into the rail - and see if that stops the problem, if so you then have 2 choices, find the broken/ corroded wire or make a real good job of your new temporarey wire. Good luck mate. _________________ Please sponser me on my Help for Heroes bike ride at www.justgiving.com/grahamcole |
