Don't know if it will fit, yes ventilated discs, with the handbrake working on the inside of the disc bell. |

The main problems with fitting the 80 series rear axle to a 70 series are
a) axle ratios 3.727 inthe 80 and 4.3 in the 70 and
b) width, the track on the 80 is 62.2 " with the 70 being narrower at 57.5"
Whilst on the subject, I am looking for a rear axle from a 73 series as I believe this model has rear disc brakes ?

Heavy duty or light duty 73 series? The HD didnt get discs until about 95.
Very little improvement in stopping power over the old drum brakes and the handbrake is *beep* on the disc set up _________________ 1995 HZJ75 troop carrier

Disc brakes dont suffer so much from dirt and water as do drum brakes. I would scrap the handbrake setup and modify a disc brake setup fitted on the output of the transfer box. They are made in the U.K. for Land Rovers (puke puke ) but it wont be difficult to modify. |
