I have been thinking of an off road weekend in Wales this year.  Please keep me posted with potential dates.  Some friends of mine did a guided day on the Strata Florida on their motorbikes and they had a great time.

Cheers

I found quite the opposite.

Maybe it's not the Welsh?

I'm sorry but I can only say what I found.... the rude people had very strong Welsh accents Confused

In one situation my fellow travellers and myself stopped at a chip shop and the owner listened to our order and walked away. His wife, who was English, then came over and served us. She said that her husband was always like that with English people.

I have no burning desire to return to the country of scared sheep and slate mines Mad

No way Confused

The example I gave above is just one of a number of cases of rudeness my colleagues and I experienced Mad

Now if there is a trip in bonny Scotland then that would be a different thing and I would endeavour to be available Very Happy Each time I have been in Scotland I have always met truly generous and friendly people Smile The weather has generally been rubbish when I have been up there but what the heck Wink

Max group size of 5, but if someone else can lead then we could have 2 groups.

Either they would have to be a good map reader or have memory map, or other gps based maps.

Well that looks proper luvverly, isn't it?

Dates depending of course, I'd certainly be interested. Camping, drinking, mud and off-roading - c'mon.
Just need guns and aliens and it would be a totally perfect weekend.

I have Memory Map although I don't really want to lead a group unless I have to, we could cross that bridge if we end up with over 5 who can agree a date Smile

Say, Paul that 80's looking pretty good now. Time to get it muddy? Are we any closer to a weekend away in Wales? I just need to book a minder for the children, so once I get a date I can start to plan.

Off to Scotland in mine this weekend, I've a feeling that the ground is going to be very very wet. Glad I've fixed my diff lock and got the winch sorted!

Hi Paul,

I am up for some of that.
Are we talking North Wales or South Wales?

Looking at your Oswestry location, your not far from me here in Warrington.

I like your consideration for the newer vehicles, and non damaging.

Not wanting to rub any salt,
but I actually enjoy the days out in Wales.
From here in Warrington, it is but 30 mins. and the whole scenery people and places change.
I feel they are friendly.
